How to Get from Incheon Airport to Goyang Stadium
There is no direct train from Incheon Airport to Goyang Stadium. Travel light and take the airport line, Seohae Line, and Line 3 to Daehwa; with heavy bags or little time, a booked car is safer.
There is no direct train from Incheon Airport (인천공항) to Goyang Stadium (고양종합운동장). If you travel light and have time to spare, transferring across the airport line, the Seohae Line, and Line 3 to Daehwa Station (대화역) is cheap and least affected by road traffic. If the show is close, or you have heavy bags or a large group, a pre-booked car is safer.
The road distance is about 46km and about 42 minutes by car with no traffic, but do not use that figure on a concert day. Allowing for immigration, baggage, and the crowds at the venue, aim to land at least 4 hours before showtime.
Choose by Situation#
| Situation | Recommended route | Felt time after leaving the airport | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo, light bags, time to spare | Airport line → Gimpo Airport → Seohae Line to Daegok → Line 3 Daehwa | About 2 to 2.5 hr | Two transfers, stairs, crowding |
| 2 to 4 people, big bags | Pre-booked van or taxi | About 1.5 to 2.5 hr | Show-day road control and fare |
| 5 or more, group | Pre-booked charter van or bus | About 1.5 to 3 hr | Fix drop-off and turnaround in advance |
| Early flight arrival | Bus 3300 → Daehwa Station → walk | About 2 to 3 hr | Road traffic, headway, last bus |
| Late-night arrival (after last Bus 3300) | Seoul Station → Bus 1000 from Sungnyemun → Daehwa → walk | About 2 to 2.5 hr | Road traffic, time predictability |
| Under 2.5 hr to showtime | Booked car or airport pickup | Depends on traffic | Delay on the final approach |
Main Route: Rail#
Rail is the least affected by road traffic. From Incheon Airport to Daehwa Station, transfers included, is about 1 hr 25 to 28 min at roughly 6,000 to 8,500 won.
Step-by-Step#
- At Incheon Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 station, take an all-stop AREX train to Gimpo Airport Station (김포공항역). The express runs only to Seoul Station, so the all-stop train is the right one here.
- At Gimpo Airport Station, transfer to the Seohae Line toward Daegok (대곡).
- At Daegok Station, transfer to Line 3 toward Daehwa (대화).
- Leave through Daehwa Station Exit 3, cross the crosswalk, and head toward the Goyang Stadium East Gate.
Adding immigration and baggage claim, the transfer walks at Gimpo Airport and Daegok, and the entry queue, allow 2.5 hours or more from landing to reaching your gate.
When Rail Is Right#
- You have no checked bags, or about one carry-on
- You land 4 or more hours before showtime
- You are 1 to 2 people and cost is the priority
- You plan to return by rail to lodging in Seoul or the metro area
Transfers on the airport line and Seohae Line can slow down when travelers and event crowds overlap. With a large suitcase, factor in the walk and security check after Daehwa Station, and aim to reach Daehwa at least 60 to 90 minutes before entry opens.
Fewer Transfers: Bus 3300#
Bus 3300 links Incheon Airport and Ilsan Daehwa-dong and stops at Daehwa Station. Since Goyang Stadium is walkable from Daehwa Station, it is a good option if you want to cut down on train transfers.
- The boarding point was stop 9B-4 at Terminal 1 in past guidance, but terminals and stops can change, so confirm on the airport signage or a bus app on the day.
- It usually takes about 1 hr 10 min to Daehwa Station, but that can swing 10 minutes or more with traffic, and expect a larger delay on concert days.
- The last Bus 3300 from Terminal 2 is listed at 11:15 PM, so it generally does not fit a plan that returns to the airport after the show.
This route suits an early flight arrival with a large suitcase and a rider able to walk from Daehwa Station. If the show is close or your flight may be delayed, road variables stack up, so it is not recommended.
Detour Buses via Central Seoul or Hongdae#
Besides rail and Bus 3300, it helps to keep two express buses in your back pocket that reach Daehwa Station via central Seoul or Hongdae. Both drop you along the Ilsan main road, such as at Daehwa Station, from where it is about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 to Goyang Stadium.
For a Late Arrival: Seoul Station/Sungnyemun Bus 1000#
After the Airport Railroad to Seoul Station, take Bus 1000 toward Daehwa-dong (대화동) from the Sungnyemun (숭례문) stop. Bus 1000 runs between Sungnyemun and Daehwa-dong, passing the Ilsan main road including Daehwa Station and Juyeop Station (주엽역).
- Its last departure from Sungnyemun is late — around 1:05 AM on weekdays, 12:40 AM on Saturdays, and midnight on holidays — so it is an option after the last Bus 3300 has gone.
- Headways are frequent: about 3 to 10 minutes on weekdays and 5 to 10 on weekends and holidays.
- Because it travels by bus from central Seoul to Ilsan, though, traffic on the Jayu-ro (자유로) and Gangbyeonbuk-ro (강변북로) makes it less time-predictable than rail.
Pairing with a Hongdae/Gongdeok Plan: M7731 (Seat Availability Tip)#
Take the Airport Railroad all-stop train to Gongdeok Station (공덕역) or Hongik Univ. Station (홍대입구역), then transfer to the M7731 express bus heading to the Daehwa and KINTEX area. This route is convenient if you want to skip the long GTX-A transfer at Seoul Station or stay/eat around Hongdae/Gongdeok.
- Seating Hack: Since the M7731 is a rapid express bus, standing passengers are not allowed. At Hongik Univ. Station, the bus is often already full and may pass without stopping. To guarantee a seat, ride the Airport Railroad to Gongdeok Station (about 50 to 55 minutes from T1/T2) and board the M7731 at the Gongdeok Station Exit 1 (공덕역1번출구) stop. Because Gongdeok is the starting/turnaround point of the route, you have a very high chance of getting an empty seat.
- AREX to Gongdeok Station takes about 50 minutes from Terminal 1 and 56 minutes from Terminal 2.
- The M7731 runs from 5:00 AM to 12:30 AM, with headways of about 7 minutes on weekdays and 14 minutes on weekends.
- When boarding, always check that the sign reads toward KINTEX, Daehwa Station, or Deogi-dong (덕이동).
- The M7731 depends heavily on traffic on the Jayu-ro (자유로) and Gangbyeonbuk-ro (강변북로), so it is not recommended if you are short on time.
For Comfort: A Booked Car#
For 2 to 4 people or large luggage, book an airport pickup van or taxi before you arrive. A regular taxi is listed at about 60,000 to 75,000 won and a pre-booked car at about 85,000 to 120,000 won, but the actual fare varies by terminal, vehicle, time, and waiting charge.
On a concert day, do not just tell the driver the Goyang Stadium main gate. Send the organizer-announced boarding or nearby drop-off point. Vehicle access and parking around the venue can be restricted, and in some cases only exception vehicles such as registered disability cars were allowed to park on site.
Coming as a Group#
For 5 or more, or international guests with many suitcases, a charter van or minibus from the airport works better than rail. Do not expect stadium parking; plan to be dropped at the organizer’s outer drop-off point and walk in.
- Batch vehicles by arrival time in 45 to 60 minute groups.
- Put free-wait limits and overage costs in the contract to cover flight delays.
- Design the return so cars are called from a separate meeting point near KINTEX or Daehwa Station, not right in front of the venue.
- Above 100 people, do not rely on charter buses alone; give late arrivals a rail or Bus 3300 fallback.
The KINTEX Station Shuttle Link#
When Goyang City runs it on a concert day, a loop shuttle may operate between GTX-A KINTEX Station (킨텍스역) Exit 1 and Goyang Stadium. Past events used the KINTEX stop and the Daejung-Jonghap Undongjang stop, running both ways before the show and from the stadium toward KINTEX Station after. At one event the shuttle ran about every 3 to 4 minutes at 1,650 won by transit card, but this varies by event.
That said, reaching KINTEX Station by rail from Incheon Airport can be more complex than the Daehwa route. Consider it only as a backup when the shuttle is confirmed for the day and a route via Seoul Station is convenient.
Planning Your Landing Time#
| Landing relative to showtime | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| 6+ hours before | Rail, Bus 3300, or a booked car all work; time for bag storage and a meal |
| 4 to 6 hours before | Rail is fine, but favor a booked car or Bus 3300 to buffer delays |
| 2.5 to 4 hours before | Booked car first; rail only if bags and transfers are simple |
| Under 2.5 hours | Immigration, baggage, and traffic make on-time entry hard; check a booked car and the organizer’s late-entry policy at once |
Getting Back to Incheon Airport#
If you must return to Incheon Airport right after the show, please note that Bus 3300 will likely be finished (the last bus departs Daehwa Station around 22:00). In this case, your only reliable late-night public transit option is the subway transfer route (Line 3 Daehwa Station → Daegok Station Seohae Line transfer → Gimpo Airport Station AREX transfer → Incheon Airport), taking approximately 90 minutes.
If you have heavy luggage or prefer a direct ride, walk 15~20 minutes south to Juyeop Station (주엽역) to escape the local stadium gridlock, and call a taxi (approx. 60,000~70,000 KRW including tolls) from there. For a detailed guide on returning to the airport, check our dedicated return guide below.
If your flight departs early the next morning, we strongly recommend staying overnight in Ilsan or near Gimpo Airport rather than trying to make a rushed late-night trip.
Notes for International Visitors#
- You can top up a transit card at a convenience store, and both the trains and Bus 3300 accept transit cards.
- Daehwa Station is the Line 3 terminus, so you are likely to get a seat coming from the Seoul side.
- Save your destination as Goyang Stadium in a map app so you do not get lost leaving the Daehwa Station exit.
- If you need to store a suitcase, Daehwa Station lockers are an option, but they can fill up quickly on a show day.

FAQ
How long does it take from Incheon Airport to Goyang Stadium?
There is no direct train. Transferring across the airport line, Seohae Line, and Line 3 to Daehwa Station takes about 1 hr 25 to 28 min. Once you add immigration, baggage claim, transfer walks, and the entry queue, allow 2.5 hours or more from landing to reaching your gate.
What if I have a lot of luggage?
With a large or multiple suitcases, a pre-booked airport pickup car is easier than the multi-transfer train. For 2 to 4 people, reserve a van in advance and give the driver the organizer-announced drop-off point, not just the main gate.
Can I go straight to Incheon Airport right after the show?
The last Bus 3300 to the airport is usually around 11 PM, which often does not match when a concert ends. For a late-finishing show, it is safer to stay overnight in Seoul or Ilsan and travel to the airport the next day.
Where do I catch Bus 3300 at Incheon Airport?
Past guidance put it at stop 9B-4 at Terminal 1, but terminal and stop locations can change, so confirm on the airport signage or a bus app on the day.
Is there a bus option that goes via central Seoul or Hongdae?
Yes. You can take Bus 1000 from Sungnyemun after riding the Airport Railroad to Seoul Station, or board the M7731 bus. While the M7731 stops at Hongik Univ. Station, it is often fully packed there. We recommend taking the Airport Railroad to Gongdeok Station instead and boarding from Exit 1 — since Gongdeok is the starting/turnaround point of the M7731 route, you are almost guaranteed to get a seat.
