Goyang Stadium Floor: What You Actually See

The floor is the closest you get. Front blocks are about 33 m out and the rearmost about 76 m — which means even the back of the floor beats the median side stand (around 94 m). The trade is that it is flat: there is no rake, so what you see depends entirely on the height of the person in front and whether they are sitting.

On the floor, the person directly ahead blocks you even sitting down. It is flat, so a 175 cm person in the row in front and on your line of sight takes both the line to the stage deck and the line to the performer’s face through their head — the opposite of the raked stands, where a seated person one row down clears. Once that person stands, the deck goes out of view in all 53 sections, stands included. What the zone changes is distance and angle; on the floor, watching between heads is the default.

One more thing. Floor blocks are redrawn for every show. The blocks on this page assume a common stadium setup with a centre thrust; the real count and positions come from that concert’s own seating map.

Floor or stands?

On distance alone the floor wins clearly — roughly 33–76 m against 50–200 m in the stands. But the floor is flat, so a standing crowd takes the stage deck out of view, and the full staging and lighting read better from a raked seat. Want the performer large? Floor. Want to see the show as a whole? Stands.

Is the back of the floor still closer than the stands?

Yes. The rearmost floor block is around 76 m, against a median of about 94 m for the side stands. The catch is that the further back you are, the more people are standing between you and the stage, and on a flat floor that costs you more.

How are floor block numbers decided?

The promoter redraws them for each concert — both the number of blocks and their positions change. Check the seating map for the show you booked. The layout shown here is an example based on a common thrust-stage setup.
