Sept 5 Goyang Double-Concert Exit Plan — Skip Daehwa via GTX-A KINTEX or Juyeop Station

This page was written in July to plan for the evening of Saturday, September 5, 2026, when the Lim Young-woong concert [IM HERO — THE STADIUM 2] at Goyang Stadium and the SPYAIR concert on the outdoor plaza of KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 let out on the same night. The 39th Gungdi Pangpang Cat Festa was also running in KINTEX Hall 10 that day.

We do not have an on-site record of that night. What is confirmed is a local news report that the Goyang mayor inspected the venue on September 5 and checked staggered exits by section and crowd dispersal at the main transit hubs. The detours below were prepared for that night, and they apply to any evening when big events at Goyang Stadium and KINTEX overlap.

The stadium show is the one that decides how bad the trip home gets. Tens of thousands of people leave at once, and Daehwa is realistically the only subway station within walking distance. If the KINTEX crowd reaches Daehwa first, the station can already be full by the time the stadium empties.

Rail options instead of Daehwa Station#

When the platforms at Daehwa Station (대화역) hit capacity, staff can restrict entry at the gates and entrances in stages. Two other stations are worth the walk.

GTX-A KINTEX Station#

GTX-A KINTEX Station opened on December 28, 2024, and reaches Seoul Station in about 16～17 minutes with no transfers. For anyone heading to Seoul Station or Samseong, it usually beats waiting for Line 3 at Daehwa. The platforms are deep underground, though, so lines can form at the escalators. Leaving 10～20 minutes after the encore instead of rushing out is a reasonable trade.

Line 3 Juyeop Station#

Daehwa is the first stop on Line 3, which is why nearly the whole concert crowd funnels there. Juyeop is the next stop, so the queue outside is shorter. The catch: trains pull in already loaded from Daehwa, so expect to stand.

Express buses toward Seoul#

Right after a stadium show, Bus 1000 (to Seoul Station) and M7731 (to Hapjeong and Gongdeok) often reach the Daehwa Station stop already full.

• Board closer to the start of the route. Walk to a stop nearer the route’s origin and get a seat before it fills. Check the stop list in Kakao Map or Naver Map.
• Get out on a local bus first. Take a local bus toward Juyeop or Jeongbalsan to get clear of the venue area, then change to an express bus.

Taxis and driving#

On big show nights, the Daehwa intersection and the Jayuro on-ramps near KINTEX fill with private cars, taxis, and shuttle buses at the same time.

• Taxis: Cars struggle to reach the venue gates or the area around Daehwa Station, so calls often go unanswered. Walk a few blocks to a quieter street before booking.
• Driving: Everyone leaves the KINTEX car parks at once after an event. Pay in advance through the mobile app or a pay station before walking to your car to cut the wait at the exit. Rates and free-parking conditions are in the KINTEX and Goyang Stadium parking guide.
