KINTEX Hall 1 and Hall 5: A Long, All-Standing Room
Halls 1 and 5 in KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 are 63 m wide and 171 m long. Both concert seat maps we read for Hall 1 (5SOS, Jason Mraz) put the stage on a short wall and filled the floor with standing, split into front and back sections by a centre aisle and a cross aisle. This page copies that frame.
In Halls 1 and 5, front versus back is the biggest variable. The middle row of the front section is about 34 m from the stage; the middle row of the back section is about 84 m — more than twice as far. From the back, faces are hard to make out unaided and the screen behind the stage does the work.
With everyone standing, the blocking is the same front and back. On the numbers, a 170 cm fan behind a 175 cm fan loses the stage deck and the performer’s face in every section. Some shows put chairs down instead, so check your own show’s map even in the same hall.

The hall outline is the official inside dimension; the stage and blocks are a representative plan that every show redraws. The stage is drawn at the top.
Vertical is to scale; horizontal is compressed. Read this for what blocks the line, not for distance.
- Roughly 36~43 m to the screen · naked-eye legibility Good
- If the person in front stands, the stage deck goes out of sight. What you keep is the artist above it and the screen.
- With them standing, the bottom of the screen goes too.

Frequently asked questions
Can you see the stage from the back of the standing floor in KINTEX Hall 1?
It is far. The middle of the back section is about 84 m from the stage, too far to read faces unaided, and on a flat floor the head directly in front of you is in the line. Treat it as a spot for the staging and the screen.
Are KINTEX Hall 1 and Hall 5 the same size?
Yes — both are 63 × 171 m with a 15 m ceiling and 10,611㎡ of floor. Hall 4 has the same footprint, but concerts have used Halls 4 and 5 together, so that setup has its own page.
Where is the aisle between the front and back sections in Hall 1/5?
On the representative layout a cross aisle runs about halfway down the standing floor, with the sound desk at the front centre of the back section. Both maps we read had it there, but it can move from show to show.
