Hall 9A Layout & Floor Sightline Tips#

  • Flat Concrete Floor: Hall 9A is a column-free, flat exhibition hall. Depending on production requirements, rows of folding chairs or flat standing corrals are installed.
    • Front Blocks (A–C): Exceptional proximity to the runway and center stage.
    • Rear Blocks (D and beyond): Sightlines may be partially obscured by fans ahead. Two high-definition LED relay screens on either side of the stage provide crisp close-ups of member facial expressions.
  • Acoustics: High ceiling baffles reduce harsh echoes, and dedicated line-array speaker towers provide balanced, articulate pop vocals.

Surviving the Mid-Winter Climate: Heated Waiting Spaces#

Late January in Ilsan features piercing Siberian winds across the open plains around KINTEX. Stay warm indoors:

  • Heated Concourses: Center 2’s 1st and 2nd floor central concourses are fully enclosed, heated, and equipped with benches and power outlets.
  • Cafes & Food Court: Warm up with hot tea or lattes at Angel-in-us, Twosome Place, or the B1 dining court before line formation.
  • Winter Coat Storage: The concert hall will become very warm once the crowd starts jumping. Deposit bulky parkas and puffer jackets into the coin lockers on Center 2’s 2nd floor, or check KINTEX Luggage Storage for locker locations.

FAQ

What is the concert setup like in KINTEX Hall 9A?

Hall 9A is a 5,000-square-meter flat exhibition space converted into a temporary concert hall. Since the floor has no elevation gradient, rear rows rely on raised stage platforms and oversized side LED screens for visual clarity.

How should fans handle the freezing January weather in Goyang?

January temperatures in Ilsan frequently plunge below -10°C with severe wind chill. Avoid waiting outdoors in the plaza. Instead, wait inside the climate-controlled 1st and 2nd floor concourses or the B1 food court of Center 2.

Where can I store heavy winter coats and shopping bags?

Automated coin lockers are available on the 2nd-floor concourse of Center 2. Because the hall heats up quickly with thousands of fans inside, checking your heavy winter coats into a locker before doors open ensures a comfortable experience.

Will there be enough time to catch trains back to Seoul after the concert?

Yes. With the concert ending around 20:00, you will have plenty of time. Taking the GTX-A high-speed train gets you to Seoul Station before 20:45, providing seamless connections to late-night transit.
