The most predictable way from Incheon Airport (인천공항) to KINTEX (킨텍스) is the Airport Railroad to Seoul Station (서울역), then a transfer to GTX-A straight to KINTEX Station (킨텍스역). KINTEX Station connects directly to the venue, so this route sidesteps road traffic. If you want fewer transfers and have heavy bags, Bus 3300 to Daehwa Station (대화역) is the alternative.

An older "Bus 5600 direct" tip that circulates is wrong. The real airport bus linking Incheon Airport and the Ilsan area is Bus 3300, and it drops you along the Ilsan main road, such as at Daehwa Station, rather than at KINTEX itself.

## Most Predictable: Airport Line + Seoul Station + GTX-A

To move fast and reliably while avoiding road traffic, consider this route first.

1. From Incheon Airport, take an all-stop Airport Railroad train to Seoul Station.
2. At Seoul Station, transfer to GTX-A toward Unjeong-jungang (운정중앙).
3. Get off at KINTEX Station and walk to your hall or entrance.

The GTX-A ride from Seoul Station to KINTEX Station is about 17 minutes. The catch is the long transfer walk from the Airport Railroad platform to the GTX-A platform at Seoul Station, so set aside a separate 15 to 25 minutes for it. In one traveler's account, Seoul Station Exit 11 to KINTEX Hall 2, walking included, took about 37 minutes.

- **Upside:** You arrive right at KINTEX Station, so the final leg is short and less exposed to road traffic near the halls.
- **Downside:** The transfer between the Airport Railroad and GTX-A is a long walk, and GTX-A costs more than regular subway. The GTX-A fare between Seoul Station and KINTEX Station is listed at about 4,200 won.
- **Show-day rating:** Best. It especially helps for afternoon entry, weekends, and the window just before a show starts.

KINTEX Station opened on December 28, 2024, so it may be missing from older web data. Search for "KINTEX Station GTX-A" in your map app.

## Fewer Transfers: Bus 3300

Bus 3300 runs between Incheon Airport and Ilsan Daehwa-dong (대화동), passing Daehwa-dong, Daehwa Station, Juyeop Station (주엽역), Jeongbalsan Station (정발산역), Madu Station (마두역), and Baekseok-dong (백석동). You ride seated with no transfer to the Ilsan area, which helps if you have a large or multiple suitcases.

The last Bus 3300 from the airport is listed at 11:35 PM from Terminal 1 and 11:15 PM from Terminal 2, with headways of about 10 to 35 minutes. On a big event day, factor in the walking crowd from Daehwa Station to the halls; with a large suitcase, add a short taxi from Daehwa.

Bus 3300 usually takes about 1 hr 10 min to Daehwa Station, but that can swing 10 minutes or more with traffic, and you should assume a larger delay on event days. This route suits an early flight arrival with a large suitcase and a rider able to walk or taxi from Daehwa Station. If entry is close or your flight may be delayed, it is not recommended.

## For a Late Return: Seoul Station/Sungnyemun + Bus 1000

After riding the Airport Railroad or GTX-A to Seoul Station, take the 1000 express bus toward Ilsan from the Sungnyemun (숭례문) stop. Bus 1000 runs between Daehwa-dong and Sungnyemun, passing the Ilsan main road including Daehwa Station and Juyeop Station.

- From Seoul Station, walk to the Sungnyemun stop.
- Board **Bus 1000 toward Daehwa-dong**.
- Get off at Daehwa Station or a stop convenient for reaching KINTEX.
- From Daehwa Station, walk or take a taxi to KINTEX.

Bus 1000 runs frequently, about every 3 to 10 minutes on weekdays and 5 to 10 minutes on weekends and holidays, and its last departure from Sungnyemun is fairly late: around 1:05 AM on weekdays, 12:40 AM on Saturdays, and midnight on holidays. That makes it a solid fallback late at night when the GTX-A last train or KINTEX Station platform crowds are a concern. Because it travels by bus from central Seoul to Ilsan, though, it is less time-predictable than GTX-A.

## Hongdae/Gongdeok Detour: Airport Line + Gongdeok·Hongik Univ. + M7731 (Seat Hack)

This detour takes the Airport Railroad train to **Gongdeok Station** (공덕역) or **Hongik Univ. Station** (홍대입구역), then the M7731 express bus into the KINTEX area. The M7731 links Deogi-dong (덕이동), Daehwa Station, and KINTEX with Hapjeong (합정역), Hongik Univ., Sinchon (신촌), and Gongdeok Station.

- **Seating Hack:** Since the M7731 is a rapid express bus, standing passengers are not allowed. At **Hongik Univ. Station**, the bus is often already full and may pass without stopping. To guarantee a seat, ride the Airport Railroad to **Gongdeok Station** (about 50 to 55 minutes from T1/T2) and board the M7731 at the **Gongdeok Station Exit 1** (공덕역1번출구) stop. Because Gongdeok is the starting/turnaround point of the route, you have a very high chance of getting an empty seat.
- **Upside:** You avoid the long GTX-A transfer corridor at Seoul Station and can board easily from either Gongdeok or Hongik Univ.
- **Downside:** The M7731 depends heavily on traffic on the Jayu-ro (자유로) and Gangbyeonbuk-ro (강변북로) expressways, and it risks being full or stuck after a show or exhibition ends.
- **When it fits:** When the Seoul Station GTX-A transfer feels like too much, or when you are combining a meal, lodging, or plans near Hongdae/Gongdeok.

AREX to Gongdeok Station takes about 50 minutes from Terminal 1 and 56 minutes from Terminal 2. The M7731 runs from 5:00 AM to 12:30 AM, with headways of about 7 minutes on weekdays and 14 on weekends. When boarding, always check that the sign reads toward KINTEX, Daehwa Station, or Deogi-dong.

## Show-Day Tips

- Set your base plan as `Airport line → Seoul Station → GTX-A → KINTEX Station`, and save Bus 3300, Bus 1000, and the M7731 as backups. The key point is that GTX-A goes directly to KINTEX Station.
- Bus 3300 is close to direct, but not direct to KINTEX. Always plan the last leg after getting off at Daehwa Station.
- Check bus detours in a map app right before you leave. Beyond crowding near the halls, traffic on the Jayu-ro and Gangbyeonbuk-ro can change your total time a lot.
- If you return to the airport after the event, check the last airport-bound Bus 3300 time first (around 22:00). If the bus service has ended, your only late-night public transit option is the **subway transfer route** (Line 3 Daehwa Station → Daegok Station Seohae Line transfer → Gimpo Airport Station AREX transfer → Incheon Airport), taking approximately 90 minutes. ## Notes for International Visitors

- You can top up a transit card at a convenience store, and GTX-A, Bus 3300, Bus 1000, and the M7731 all accept transit cards.
- KINTEX Station is a new GTX-A station and may be missing from older map data. Save your destination as KINTEX Hall 1 or Hall 2, whichever applies.
- If you need to store a suitcase, lockers at KINTEX Station or Daehwa Station are an option, but they can fill up quickly on a big event day.
